"Irelands Medieval Mile Cycling Treasure Hunt". The Historical Cycling Treasure Hunt is a really exciting way to discover Kilkenny.

What's involved? Simply hire the bikes from us and we include the treasure maps along with the questions and clues. The maps will take you around kilkenny city visiting all of Kilkenny's historical buildings.

The maps will include a brief history of each building and you will have to find the answers to the questions and fill in the blank spaces. The person or Team with the most correct answers are the winners. 

If you complete the hunt you will receive a beautiful certificate stating that you completed Ireland's Medieval Mile Treasure Hunt and if you are the winner it be stamped WINNER.

The Treasure Hunt is brilliant fun and suitable for families, corporate groups, Hens and Stags, it is a environmentally friendly and educational.

TOURS

Guided Cycling Tours

Two tours are available per day commencing from your accommodation or pre-arranged location in Kilkenny City Centre. The first tour departs at 10:00am with the second tour departing at 2:00pm. The tour is 12km long and lasts approximately two hours and thirty minutes (2.5 hours). This tour can be shortened or extended and can suit all ages. It’s a fun and environmentally friendly way to see all the attractions if you are only in Kilkenny for a short period.

BIKE & HIKE

BIKE ‘N’ HIKE is Kilkenny Cycling Tours latest option for a fun day out on our doorstep for visiting tourists and locals alike. Please note that a delivery and collection charge may sometimes apply.

Bike...You simply hire a bike from us and enjoy an easy paced cycle on the “Sion road” its the back road to the scenic picturesque village of Bennettsbridge. Here you can visit some local craft producers Moth To A Flame candle makers and Nicolas Mosse Pottery for lunch and a browse through the store. We deliver the bikes to your hotel and you can lock them up and leave them in Nicolas Mosses until we retrieve them.

Hike...The return journey is a truly beautiful river bank hike all the way back into Kilkenny city on the newly developed Nore Valley Walk. It’s approx 10Km out and 10Km back. It takes approx 45 – 50 mins. Maps and safety equipment provided. Sensible footwear essential. Support vehicle available for groups with 10+

Bike Rental Prices

• Bike rental prices commence at €20 per bike per day - €15 for Children
• Bikes can be rented on location in Kilkenny City or can be delivered to your reserved accommodation within the city and county environs.
