The fourth stop on the famous Wicklow Way walk – this 5-star all en-suite Glendalough hostel is one of our most popular hostels. Glendalough is one of Ireland’s most beautiful visitors’ destinations. The county of Wicklow, just south of Dublin is even known as “The Garden of Ireland” because of the lush broad spectrum of greens you’ll see all around you! The hostel is set in a wooded valley amid spectacular countryside ideal for fishing, rock climbing, pony trekking and hiking.
Glendalough (Gleann dá Loch) translates from Irish Gaelige to “Valley of the two lakes’ and this also helps explain the different spelling for the hostel’s name. The Glendalough area has a constant flow of tourists attracted to the area to enjoy its spectacular scenery, rich history, archaeology and abundant wildlife. The Wicklow Mountains National Park with visitor centre is right next to the hostel as well as the world famous Monastic Site with a Round Tower.

Please note: Breakfast is available at the hostel for individual travellers as well as groups. However, dinner is only available for groups on request. Dinner for individuals is available locally (see under “TO DO” for some recommendations!)
