This impressive custom-built Donegal Hostel had €3 million invested in it in recent years to make the accommodation as modern and sustainable as possible
It has an energy efficient wood pellet boiler, energy saving lighting, water saving measures and composting and recycling of most materials. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used in the hostel and the cost reductions can be passed on to loyal customers making it economically friendly too!
The Poisoned Glen, Glenveagh Castle and National Park, adjacent to the hostel are ideal for walking in Donegal as is the Bloody Foreland – just watch out for the Green Lady ghost! You can also visit the village beach resort of Bunbeg, well known for its surfing and music festivals.
